The Bonus of Finding "Choice"!

And so the snow begins.....
Mother Nature has decorated our garden loom with a sparkly layer of snow!!  The winter season has officially been stamped.

We spent the weekend with our beautiful Weaving a Life Guru - Michelle Clark.  Our project was to weave a "Belt of Power" with a focus on "choice".  The belt holds our blade/power, and is a reminder of the choices that we have when using this power. This is all about sacred symbols - tools - that we can use to awaken our inner awareness.  The symbolic blade can be used to cut anything that is no longer serving your best interests.

Weaving a Life!
What would you hold in your "Belt of Power?"  What mindful tool would you engage to assist your inner spiritual grow?  "Be an artist and an architect of your own house, your temple, your body and your mind." ~ Dr. Stone This was the energy that we brought to the table as we laughed, shared and wove our powerful intentions into our belts.

These weaving session are going deeper and deeper as we work our way through the keyforms.....so I won't be sharing the private communication and insights that we shared.   I will however, ask you to pause and reflect on your own power.  As the holiday festivities approach we will all be tested.  Do you have the inner strength to say "NO" when the parties, gifting, eating, and other obligations push you to the brink?  I'm giving you all permission to step back - take a breath - go within - then speak your truth from the heart.  Allow your inner strength and knowledge of that truth to shine through!
My belt of Power!

"In ancient Sanskrit, the mind is considered to have four functions:
Manas, the part of our mind that notices
Chitti, the part of our mind the remembers
Buddhi, the part of our mind that chooses
Ahankar, the part of our mind that tell our body to go and get the object of our choice." ~Werner Braun

Thank you Michelle for once again recognizing that we needed to acknowledge our power before we could move forward.  This is a gift we will carry through the holidays and into the New Year!

cheddar bay biscuits made with almond flourI forgot to take a photo of our feast....here is the recipe/link for the Cheddar Bay Almond Flour Biscuits (gluten-free).  Mikhail made the biscuits and everyone loved them.  My personal little tweak of the recipe was to double the butter sauce topping.  I like it buttery!! (Well - heck who doesn't!  My choice! My Choice! This will be one of my dishes at Thanksgiving.....that way I get to have a biscuit too!!)
