Healing with the Earth Element!

Naomi & Judy
Mother Nature is really working hard to keep people inside. With all the bitter cold there is really nothing to do but stay inside and make soup.  We can enjoy Earthy root foods and spices.  This is truly the winter for rest and renewal.

We spent the weekend with our Polarity students covering the Earth Element.  How is your Element being expressed?  Do you have any issues with your neck, knees, back or colon?  If you do you might have an Earth imbalance.

Balanced Earth will be stable, strong, patient, with a strong structure.  Think of natures wild spaces, mountains and digging in the garden.  We need that connection with Mother Earth to help stay connected in our mind, body and spirit. Earth is the color red.  When ever you need a little grounding boost wear something red.  Earth is a heavy slow vibration....so it needs stimulation!  Movement of any kind is very healing for your Root Chakra.  Walking, tribal dancing even twerking is a great way to activate your Earth energy.  Body brushing is also another great way to improve slow circulation.

Take stock of just what your energies are doing.  We live in an age that is in constant go mode.  We are in a state of sympathetic overdrive.  We all need to work on calming our nervous systems down.  Are you stuck on the couch with cookies and chips?  Are you on the go constantly never slowing down to embrace nature? Are you somewhere in the middle?  We have a couple of more months of cold weather and this could be a wonderful time to practice a little self reflection.

After class we went up to the house and celebrated Judy's birthday. Judy has been our rock, our earth element - guiding us with strength and wisdom.  Thank you my sister friend for all the wonderful moments.

Mikhail made Carrot cupcakes and we all shared some Chocolate Rouge wine.
It was thrilling to have students from all our classes together at once.
This is a celebratory food...not to be eaten on a regular basis.  Ooooo so good!
