Boosting Your Health with Dates!




Wow...what a year of changes!  I haven't posted in a very long time because, we have been transitioning our home practices and that trickles into every other aspect of our world.  Change is always a good thing - even though we must endure the chaos that precedes it. 

Now that we have completed our 21-Day Autumn Detox (Congratulations to everyone that attended!) it's time to start thinking about the holidays, and how we can maneuver through them with the least amount of damage. 








With healthy eating in mind Brian and I started working to develop some desert options that will follow all the Polarity/Ayurvedic rules.  The recipes for our Pecan-Date Pie Bars came from our desire to serve a dish that is tasty and immune building. Mixing almonds (in the crust) and dates  is a delicious way to boost your immune system, they balance Vata and Pitta, build strength and are calming during the fall season.
