Finding Direction

My Guardian Angel

During this busy holiday season and with the winter solstice right around the corner it can be difficult to find your direction.  Now more than ever, it's time to take stock of what is important in your life.  What gives you joy? What makes you do the happy dance? What inspires you?  Have you given yourself the chance to explore all the delicious dreams that you have carried in your heart?  Well, my Thriving friends, there's no time like the present.

Finding your direction is really about finding your hearts desire.  Working with my husband and friends is powerful medicine for me.  I've been giving a chance to live a very juicy life.  One quick and easy way to get down to business is to simplify.  We all tend to get caught in the vortex - now is the time to stop the spin!!  Cultivate the opposite!! (One of Brian's constant reminders.)  Soooo dust off those journals that you have stuck in a drawer.  Let's have a little meditative exercise.

Light a candle - sit in silence - gather your thoughts and -
Write down a list of all your dreams - everything! Make your list vibrant and gorgeous! Feel the energy of your dreams.  Allow yourself to remember your dreams from the past and your dreams for the future. Write them down - allowing the vibration of your intentions to move out into the universe!
You have just created the template for finding your direction.  Move your body from your heart. Work from your heart. Listen from your heart. Love from your heart.  It's really a pretty simple recipe! Remember - Remember.......these a sensory filled - heart felt issues that you've carried all your life.  Bring them up and out into the light!  Dust them off and seriously think about how you might make some changes.  The New Year is right around the corner.

As the weather continues' to shift deeper into winter it's time to return to our winter practice.  Warm water throughout the day.  Warm daily oil massages to protect your nervous system from the Vata/Wind element that is getting blowing into our world. Wear hats to protect your ears. Remember -"As Above - So Below  As Without - So Within"  that means if it's swirling outside you'll be swirling inside.  Just what we need to add to the holiday mix!

For me finding my direction starts in the kitchen - a place that feels loving and complete.
This morning we spent some time grinding spices for our friends as gifts.  It's such a beautiful calming practice.  What better way to spread our love than with gifts from our kitchen - the heart of our home.  Later today, I'll be making some raw chocolate, that is pure ambrosia!  I'll post it below. I'm all about finding the tasty healthy treats.  Raw chocolate contains iron, protein and is an antioxidant super-food!  I feel a happy dance coming on!!

                                                      Raw Chocolate~
                                               1 cup Raw Cacao
                                               1/2 cup Organic Agave
                                               1/2 cup Organic Coconut oil
(unrefined will add a slight coconut flavor)

Melt Coconut oil until warm - put in bowl
                                 Add Cacao & Agave
                                 Mix with wooden spoon
This can be made in a blender but I don't want to
waste any that gets lost on the blades!!
Now is a good time to add cinnamon or cayenne pepper
                                if you like spice!!

Put in a brownie pan that has been lined with plastic
wrap or parchment paper.  This makes it easier to pop
                                 out of the pan.

                                 Pour chocolate into pan.
Put into fridge for 5min - to let it set up a little
Add what ever goodies your taste buds fancy -
nuts, chips, sprinkles, celtic sea salt (nothing better
                                    than salt & chocolate!)

Put into freezer for 30 min. - pull the edges of the plastic
and it will pop out of the pan - slice and enjoy!
**Because it's made with coconut oil it will melt if left out in
a warm room - so keep in fridge in a sealed container!
Eat healthy and enjoy every bite!
Thrive on ~ Chocolate kisses
